Strength is a trait we all desire. Whether it be physical, emotional, or spiritual, at some point or another most of us have wished we could be a little stronger. Similar to the process of forging a sword in fire, we gain more strength by forging ourselves through intense physical, mental or spiritual fires.
When it comes to weight loss the stronger you are the easier it will be to lose weight, the better you will move, and the better you will look. As you get physically stronger, you may even feel it beginning to seep into your mind and as you notice your confidence seems to rise.
Strength breeds strength.
Initially, strength gains are neural adaptations as your nervous system becomes better at handling the stress you are putting it under. With larger weights on the bar your CNS (central nervous system) has to recruit more fibers within your muscles to move the weight. More muscles working means more calories are burning.
It is like you are force lightning and force choking your fat at the same time.
As summer approaches, most people hit the gym looking forward to getting shredded for the beach. They hammer out set after set but focus very little on strength. Once the shredding is done, and you pack away the beach towels from your Tatooine trip, you notice very quickly how much weaker you have become when you return to strength training.
A true Sith should never become weak.
